Spraying

Spray finishing is one of the most delicate processes in leatherworking: GER Elettronica machinery monitors the quality of the entire spraying process, reducing the waste of chemical products and costly rework in tanneries.

What is leather spraying

Leather spraying, or painting, defines the final characteristics of the leather: it is used not only for dyeing and coloring, but also for imparting particular technical properties and specific fashion effects.

Spray finishing lines, or spray booths, are tannery machines capable of uniformly covering treated leathers with chemical products. This machinery works through high-speed rotating carousels to which spray guns are connected and, usually, paint economizer systems.

Semi-automatic spray finishing systems have greatly reduced labor times and costs inside the tanneries, but as of today there are still critical issues in quality control of the painting process.

GER Elettronica’s machines for spray painting allow for adjusting the amount of chemical product dispensed by the guns and machines, reducing waste in production, and at the same time monitoring the quality of the final coloring, avoiding aesthetic imperfections.
