Record data for the export of footwear in Indonesia

aprisindoFor the Indonesian market in the footwear industry, this is definitely a favorable historic moment.

The data provided by the Ministry of Industry regarding the export, are encouraging and after having closed the year 2014 with 4.1 billion in sales, they seem to show a strong trend growth, so as to achieve a turnover of 1, 07 billion dollars in the first three months of 2015, with an increase of 17% compared to the first quarter of the previous year.

Aprisindo, the Association of Indonesian footwear, has therefore set itself the goal of bringing its share of exports to $ 4.5 billion by the end of 2015. This target seems to be very accessible.

The companies concerned and the employees who work in the sector are increasing, with numbers that reach those of major international productions competitors. A big push has been given by the growth of export to Nigeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, India and Pakistan.

Now the goal according to Eddy Widjanarko, president of the association, is to increase also exports to other markets, first of all the South American countries.
