image_largeJean-Pierre Renaudin, president of the European Confederation of Footwear (CEC), proposed during the last Shoe World Congress, which was held last November in Mexico, to organize an annual forum of the sector to deal with all the most important issues in the field of footwear, without having to wait three years between the congresses.

The first edition will coincide with the last day of theMICAM fair, in Milan, on 4 September. The aim is to encourage dialogue and collaboration among the key players in the field of footwear in the world, increasing the confrontation between the companies and the various players.

Among the topics on the agenda, during the forum there will be the need to support SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in their internationalization process and verification of sustainability of production processes.

The congress is dedicated in particular to companies, with the aim to learn and share the latest innovations in our industry. The Forum hopes to open a dialogue of collaboration between representatives of the federations of footwear,”says Jean-Pierre Renaudin, the current President of the CEC (Confédération Européenne de la chaussure, that is, the European Confederation Footwear), who will leave his post in June to Cleto Sagripanti, president of Assocalzaturifici.
