Positive signals from the second edition of Lineapelle Milan

Positive signs for the leather industry come from the second edition of the Lineapelle Milano 2015 (the most important international exhibition dedicated to leather, accessories, components, synthetics and models for footwear, leather goods, clothing and furniture) that closed its doors last Friday, February 28, at Fieramilano.

A good number of visitors and an encouraging demonstrations of interest from buyers, Italian and foreign (also Asians, despite the proximity of the Chinese New Year), allowed exhibitors to consider the result of the event very positive.
The event is always an opportunity to open up to to foreign markets, and this participation and involvement of foreign visitors is therefore a good sign.

The exposure of the proposed products referred to the upcoming Spring/Summer 2016, for which there where presented some predominant trends in style. Great liking for smooth leathers with a few special effects, a kind of return to the roots, which confirms the new trend that prefers a natural effect and little developed, in order to enhance the value and quality of the skin.

Quality seems to be the key word that has guided productions: clean shiny and soft aged of the highest quality, against the decline of less valuable paint, nabuck and vintage.

It is also seen much innovation, clear signal of major investments in terms of research by exhibiting companies. Unusual processing as the laminate strech and bottom crust, glitter, gradient, buffered by hand, with python on a soft and light skin. Great attention has been given even in reptile products, for which have been confirmed the trend of laminate.

As for the colors this year “everyone is looking for all leather on luxurious chrome matt” – according to tanner Bonaudo – “for the summer there is always demand for liquid colors, metals, rolled gold, silver and anthracite.”

At Lineapelle Milan in 2015, as if to emulate the theme of the forthcoming EXPO 2015, seems to win the “slow leather” style face the greatest care of details and quality.
